Today was.... wierd. Five people in our class got sick and left. Now we only have eleven people in our class. We didn't have that much work today.

Today we had Bowie band come and play,it was awesome!We got to make blow up balls in origami.And we got to time our helicopters as competion against the others.Everybody who wanted to sign up for outside potrol got to.

Today we got to play uncover up Bob instead of cover up Bob and we got to check our Moy's and homework.We just finshed our expierment and got to make a bar graph.Now there is only 6 mor days intilll Christmas brake!

Today we started a competion with Mrs.martin's class on fractions wich has a lot of specific rules.And we graphed our science expierement wich was a rough draft and was done very quickly but tommorow we are starting a new helocopter expieriment.Mrs.martin's class and our class have homework.Wow I guess!

Today we got to play a awesome fraction game called Cover UP Bob we spinned and whatever the paper clip lamded on that fraction you cover up Bob (half sheet of paper) and whoever covered him up first won!And we got to start the helicopter expieriment.Awesome day!

Last Day this week

Today we got to prestent more powerpoints.And decorate a graph color sheet.Plus for social studies we did a crossword puzzle that was pretty fun!Todat is Tues. and we don't have to go to shcool the rest of Thanksgiving!Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today half of us presented our power points on body systems.We don't have any homework due exept our marble machines due Dec.3,2008.Dr.Robinet kissed a pig because we reached our magazine goal.And were getting ready for our math benchmark.Really fun day!

Today we had another benchmark. We had a 20 minute kick ball game AND a lunch bunch with TV. today feels more like a friday. The third graders also preformed a play called "circus circus" for us. today was fun.

Today was fun. The counsalur came. But, other than that, we had a science Benchmark test. Then when we were done, We worked on our power points.

Substitute day

Today was wierd. We had a substitute. At first, we didn't have a teacher at the begining of the day.Then the office called the substitute and she came. Her name is Mrs. moore. Ms. martin gave us home work. Mrs. Moore also let us go to www.mypyramid.com. On that website, we played a fun game about food goups. We learned more abot the human body too. Today was ok.

Today was ok. Ms.lawson taught us about the human body. Our class all got paired up in partners and groups to work on a powerpoint project. Ms. Martin was not here today. Ms. franklin was our substitute. We also learended about eating healthy (in Ms. lawson's class) and colored in a food pryimad. It was a little bit fun. It was interesting to learn something new though.

No work friday

Today was fun. We really didn't get any work done in Ms. Lawson's class. Two special visitors came. They taught us about geology and water. Then Mr. Roth came to our class. We made origami hats out of News paper.

Marble machienes and more.

Today was great. we finished our marble machienes. Ms. Lawson timed all of ours. One group broke the recored. It was about 51 seconeds.(the goal was to make the slowest marble machiene.) It was so much fun! Ms. lawson also taught us how to make a multipacation table. Then,in Ms. Martin's class, we finished our centers.

Today we had an extra day to work on our marble machines since nobody finished yesterday.we learned about fiction and gravity.And for math we got to learn a new math game.In Mrs.Martin's class we got to have flex time in the library.For homework we get to make our own marble machines with any martials at home wich is due December 4th,2008.

Struggle to Finsh our Marble Machines

Today we had a subsitut for Ms.Lawson named Mrs.Franklin.This was our last day to work on our marble machines and we struggled to finish.Last Friday we observed these rocks and had to try to figure out what kind of rock it was and today we went over it and figured out what they really were.And we got to work im our math folders.Whooh!

Today we got touch our class snake Jill. She looked like she was gonna feel rough and scaly but she actully felt like rubber!

Today we kept on working on our marble machines adn learned a new subtraction trick.It's called (at least Mrs.Lawson calls it) the Belgin way because last year her students dad showed her this trick.And we got to learn the rock cycle(OMG)!IN the begining of the day we got to listen to the coir sing it was very nice.Had a fun but rushed day!

We got to start our marble machines with a partner(s) with 3 materials cardboard, tape and sentence strips.Got to learn about volcanoes amd mountains,how awesome is that?In Mrs.Martin's class we learned about the presdential commties and did centers.Obama won!

Today we went to the book fair to look for our boooks that we wanted and then with our buddys .We got to work on our posters for earthquakes and learned a new math game.Got homework from both teachers.Fantastic day!

Today we had a social studies quiz!We learned a little about earthquakes and have to reserarch a huge one that happened in history on the computers.We worked on our math folders.Not a huge day but tommorow is Halloween!Today sadly is our Last day with Fransicop's last day with him cause he;s going to a bionlingul school! Fun day!

Today was fun! Ms. Lawson let us watch a viedo about tectonic plates. She said sixth graders usally learn about them. I geuss that makes us learning early. We also learned about memoirs a french word.Were almost finished with our musuem cards.And we also got to use the laptops and tried to find the least expensive memory card and if we had time we got to try to find the cheapest prison balls.

Since we have been learning about menus and buying for a while we took a test today.It wasn't a big huge deal !We also got to work on our musem cards which are awsome they talk about facts on the earth's layers and some pepole finshed that and got to start drawing the earth and the layers.Topday was a awesome day.3 more days until Haloween!FAce

West Cave Preserve

Today Mrs.Martin class and our class went on field trip to West Cave Preserve.We went into an open cave and got to touch a stalagmite.We went on a trail with lots of plant and saw a water fall.It was really pretty and we leraned a lot.

Today in Mrs.Martin room we had a subsitute and we had to draw what we thought or wanted our world to to look like in ten years. In Mrs.Lawsons room we talked about how much money(tips) to give someone.And in science we learned about the layers in the earth and watched two videos and one on the new movie Center of the earth.We also switched commities.

Today we found out that Mrs. Martin has a migrain. So we had a sub the sub was quit and nice to my point. We had to do a mythe of how something became something. and some other stuff. So in Mrs. Lawson's we did a game like monoply it was fun and we did a mineral thing.

Today we found out that when we were in Mrs.Martin's room that mopsy was gone because one of her toe nails got ripped off and the people that take care of her had to pick her up. Anyways in Mrs.Martin's room we did centers, and read from our social studies books. In. Ms.Lawson's room we did the grocery game, and did some work in our money packets.

Today in Mrs. Martin's we decribed are real rocks. Today in Ms. Lawson we crushed are Mock Rocks then after crushing them good we had to put them in a funnel and add but of course we had to describe what happened to them after shaking them.

Today was the last benchmark, we took the math benchmark. We went to Mrs.Martin's room for a little while. Why we were there she read some of the read aloud to us while we worked on our flip book illastrations. Then we switched back and took our benchmark. Today in Mrs.Martin's room we did some stuff in out writing journals, we worked on our flip books, and we did some of our read aloud book. It was alot of fun!!!!! In Ms.Lawson's room we did finger printing, we set up something i our journals for tomorrow, and we went over our math worm up. Friday is the LAST DAY to turn in magazine orders!!!!!!!

Normal Day

Today was acutally a normal day where we acutally switched teachers. Anyways to day we switched and went to Mrs.Martin's room, in there we did a little bit of out next read aloud, and we did some reading, and we did some stuff in our writing journals. Then when we switched back we did the last measure ment on our grow critters, and Ms.Lawson taught us the game that is on out homework this week. That's all for now!

Half Day of School

Today we get out of school at noon because of the storm thats coming towards us from the hurricane. We had lunch in our room and got to watch cartoons while we were working. It was awsome!!! We also worked on our rally around the room cars and tested them.

FINALLY!!!

Sorry it has been so long since we posted, there were technical difficulties and a password issue. But we are BACK!! Here is a quick review of the last few days...
Well first of all, we took the TAKS test last Tuesday

Today, the first thing we did today was go to the muddiest pond. We collected allergy, water, and other things. We put water in our aquarium and then connect them with the terrarium. We also worked on our goldfish graph. Today was so fun.

Today we worked on our ecosystems again. We planted our seeds today! There were really really really small that they look like periods!!!!! We also watered them today! Now we will wait for them to grow tall!!!!!

Ecosystems

Today Ms.Lawson let us work on ecosystems! we had to work in partnership. We took like a gallon bottle and filled it up with a half a cup of gravel and two cups of soil. Then we took toothpiks and made like a cross of some sort. We also labled it in colems. WE HAD LOTS OF FUN!!!

Math

Today the class made graphs.At centers every body except the people at the carpet with Ms.Lawson got to go to computers. It was pretty cool. Also the people at the carpet are making Wiki's.

Book Fair/Sub

Today we had a substitute for our teacher,Ms. Lawson. Her name is Bonnie N. Schlultz. She has brown hair,brown eyes and is really nice. The reason Ms.Lawson wasn't here because she was observing another 4th grade class in science & math! Also we watched a nature video on the bioes of the world to. We had indoor recess and most of our class was on the computers. We won the Landmark thing this week and we did Big Tex and the Faris weel and 2 big tents to we won $100.00 worth of books in our class!!!

New committees

We the class are geting new committees for our class. Also we are done with geometry faces, vertex, and edges thing, everything is fine in here. Nothing to worry about!

Testing 1,2,3, Testing

Today March, 27th,2008 we had a Reading Practice T.A.K.S. it was kind of difficult for most people. Any way today we also had a sub, her name is Ms. Road. All of us watched Wallace & Gromit It was hilarious. Anyway BYE!!!!!

March,20, 2008 . Today in class we watched The Great Robot Race and had some popcorn too. Also we wrote down who we thought would win pretty much everybody did Stanley. And they where right.

Feild Trip!!!

Today we went to the Bob Bulluck Texas Meuseum. It was so much fun. Almost everyone LOVED it!!! There was a Scavenger Hunt. There were three flores in the whole building. It was hard but I and my Buddy ##### almost finished.

Yesterday was the TAKS test and we were the only class in the whole Fourth grade that got to

Math and Science Workout!

Today we learned the standard algorithm for division. Everyone except a couple people were thoroughly confused! In science we learned about the metric units to measure liquid. We used 100mL cups and put 10 in one jar to make exactly 1000mL, or 1 liter! Pretty cool, huh! We all miss Lauren terribly who is sick. :)

Hey

Today we had a lot of fun. We learned a lot about how a multiplication chart has more than one
thing that you can use it for. Also we all weighed many things like markers and crayons.

Today we made Oragomi box's and figured out the width,length and height. Everyone was at Lunch-Bunch today for the first time in a long, long time. Everyone was kind to each other.

Today was Valentines Day. At our party today we had a dance party and in chorus we said their names. Oh,yah some people got a sugar rush.
